To be kind to others
I must be kind to myself

My name is Kim Moore and I have been painting since I was 2 years old. My mother was a wonderful artist and encouraged me to make art early and often. Right now I create in a wild, process oriented manner that embraces mistakes and intuitive expression. Overall, my art is colorful and vibrant, and my style varies from whimsical realism to pure abstraction, and everything in between.

I started Kindness Matters Studio as a challenge to myself. Kindness has been a difficult practice for me, as I naturally feel a fair amount of despair in life. Working with depression and anxiety has been exhausting, and I find myself more reactive and less compassionate than I would like to be. I have been challenging myself to be kind to others, and in doing so I found that I have to be kind to myself first. My journey of self-compassion and kindness toward myself is ongoing, and I will continue to share the art and insights that comes from this process.

I am replacing that despair with the belief that even small acts of kindness can equal big change. Especially when we work together, using whatever skills and talents we have. With that in mind, my art is my therapy out loud, and I am donating 10% of all sales to Charity Water.

Be kind to yourself. Be kind to others. Change the World.
